Stephen has been an onscreen presenter for several psychology-based TV programmes including several series of Little Angels and Teen Angels for the BBC and Make Me A Grown-Up and Freaky Eaters for Channel 4. He also mediated between warring couples as onscreen consultant for Wife Swap: The Aftermath.
Behind the scenes, Stephen has continued to be involved in screening contributors for several TV shows. He has recently been psychological consultant to the well-received Sky TV show My Wonderful Life, a series which celebrated the lives of terminally ill people.
In print, apart from his books, Stephen has written several articles for popular publications including Psychologies Magazine. He also composed a regular Brain and Behaviour column for the Times Educational Supplement.
Teaching and Training
Stephen has previously lectured with the Open University. He has delivered teaching on emotional abuse for a local NHS trust and was a keynote speaker at the national UNITE conference in 2012.
He has provided seminars for audiences ranging from lawyers to senior businesswomen, covering topics from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to the influence of pathological personality traits within organisational cultures.
In 2017 he delivered a seminar to business leaders as part of the Exeter University Business School’s Senior Leadership programme.
